Summer Camps at Lake George Regional Park

No screens!  Just fresh air and fun with old and new friends!  Camp Podooc is a day-camp conducted on the WEST side of Lake George Regional park that runs in 2 distinct 2-week sessions for area youth, grades 1-6. 9:00-2:30. Campers experience swim lessons, outdoor field games, nature crafts, environmental education and more. Free lunch available.

Session dates and costs for the 2021 season are as follows:

Parents provide transportation directly to Lake George (Drop off 8:45, pick up 2:30)

SESSION #1  (Canaan) July 12-16,  July 19-23         
SESSION #2  (Skowhegan & Other Communities) July 26-30, August 2-6

Cost:  
FREE to Canaan residents.
Skowhegan resident – $155 per session
Non-resident fee.- $185 per session
Athens- Determined by Town of Athens

Lake George Recreation Camp

Sponsored by Redington Fairview General Hospital

Learn key skills for outdoor fun! This camp will focus on introduction to various outdoor recreation activities such as paddling, mountain biking, and hiking, just  to name a few. The camp, for 6th, 7th and 8th grade girls and boys is generously supported by Redington Fairview General Hospital.  All activities will work from an introductory platform and will emphasize fun as well as skill building.

Session dates and costs for the 2021 season are as follows:

SESSION # 1: August 9-13, 8:30am – 4pm,  limited slots available  

Cost: $150.00

Park Policy: Lake George Regional Park is a public park and will remain open to the public during camp hours. Only staff and campers are authorized to be part of camp activities during camp. If you are a park member or choose to pay the park fee, we ask that you follow park rules and keep a respectful distance from camp activities. In many cases the Park will encourage patrons to utilize the Park’s East side while camps are in session. Beach use and swimming on the West Side is not available to the public during camp hours. If you wish to swim at this time please use the East Side of the Park.
