Who We’re Looking For
We’re seeking individuals who are:

Schedule & Season
Camp Dates: July 6 – July 31, 2026
Days: Monday through Friday
Hours: 8:00 AM – 2:30 PM

Positions Available
We offer both paid counselor roles and Counselor in Training (CIT) volunteer opportunities for those looking to gain experience and grow into future staff positions.

Minimum Qualifications
Must generally be at least 16 years old for paid positions
CIT opportunities available for younger applicants (approximately ages 12–13+)
Ability to work the full camp schedule
Strong communication skills and a commitment to safety

Summer Camp Lifeguard & Water Safety Instructor Staff

Make a splash this summer at Lake George Regional Park. We’re hiring Lifeguards and Water Safety Instructors to help create a safe, fun, and engaging waterfront experience for our campers.

If you enjoy working outdoors, staying active, and making a difference, this is a great opportunity to build skills, gain certifications, and be part of a high-energy summer team.

What You’ll Do
Maintain safe swimming conditions at the waterfront or pool
Supervise recreational swimming and structured water activities
Work closely with counselors and staff to support daily programming
Water Safety Instructors (WSI): Lead certified swim lessons during Swim Camp

Camp Dates: July 6 – August 7, 2026
Days: Monday through Friday
Hours: 8:00 AM – 2:30 PM

Qualifications

  • Must be 17 years or older
  • Lifeguard, First Aid, and CPR/AED certifications required
  • Certification and training provided at no cost (must be completed prior to working)
  • Strong sense of responsibility and commitment to safety
  • Positive attitude and ability to work as part of a team
